This is another example of a double layer sheath:
The lining is made of 6-7 ounce leather. It extends above the outer layer made of 8-9 ounce leather.
Both, inside and out, are water proofed with beeswax compounds. This sheath will withstand wet conditions.
The knife can be secured with a leather retention strap. The strap is attached with a Chicago screw. It can be easily replaced if worn out.
The belt loop can be adjusted with three screws for low or high carry. It can be completely removed for horizontal carry.
Both layers are stitched by hand using a traditional saddle stitch method. Each stitch is knotted on the inside. The stitching will not come undone if the thread is damaged or cut.
The fold over design makes the sheath rigid.
